Adoption Testimonials

Bert (previously Lido)

“We adopted Lido (now Bert) from you on Feb 9th. He’s settled in wonderfully: curious, confident, and endlessly affectionate with everyone from our vet to our toddler. He’s been an enormous comfort to our other cat, Remy, from the moment he came in to our home: Remy recently lost his cat brother, Rufus, and was crying and searching incessantly until Bert arrived. Now all is well and everyone is happy and thriving. Thanks for taking care of him.”
Sadie (previously Cookie)
“I adopted cookie, now named Sadie, on 6/2/19. She has been a great addition and my other cat is finally warming up to her. Sadie has a very friendly personality and is almost always purring. She loves sitting in her perch, looking out the window and sleeping in the sun. The adoption process was easy, but I was disappointed with the voucher for the spay; I thought it would cover more than it did.”

–Sarah from Putnam, CT

Dexter (previously Willow)
“We adopted Willow (now Dexter) from NECCOG 2 weeks ago after checking their website, which they regularly update with new animals. Willow is young and “full” of energy. After visiting with her for about an hour we decided to take the plunge and give her a forever home. Adoption process was smooth, and the state voucher to get him neutered is a blessing and greatly appreciated. I recommend them to everyone as there is no better feeling than helping save a pets life.”

Otis (previously Odin)
“I could not be happier with my dog! He has been a wonderful addition to our family. The process at NECCOG is straightforward and clear, the people working there are very supportive. With so many pets un-cared for, I would strongly urge anyone who is looking to adopt to consider NECCOG.”

–Silvia from Putnam, CT

Rosie (previously Fluffy)
“Rosie is a great little dog. So glad I found her. You took such good care of her. I am so glad I found her to adopt. She gets along so well with my other dogs + my cat. Thank you again! I love my animals like family – because they are my family. Rosie has a good life here + she is very happy. All of my dogs are older – all have been adopted! Thank you, Nancy”

– Nancy from Canterbury, CT

Baxter (previously Duke)
“I adopted Baxter on 7/30/19, it was the best thing we ever did. He came to us with a bad skin condition – the staff at NECCOG are the best, they gave us the meds we needed to help in his recovery. A month later he is healed and one of the best dogs we ever had. Thank you NECCOG, this is the second pet we adopted. Our first was out cat Garfield. We will always come to NECCOG first to adopt.”

– Claudette from Brooklyn, CT

Libby (previously Laura)
“Such a great experience! Really caring staff. Very helpful. It’s evident how much they care about the animals they take in. I highly recommend adopting an animal from their facility. Laura (now Libby) is an absolute joy! I will definitely use them (NECCOG) as my “go to” when I adopt again.”
